Blog #9 Rough Draft
                                                           Undocumented Students.
The topic that I chose is a topic that I personally can relate to on so many levels, I picked this topic because I want people to understand the difficult life undocumented students be having.
In the article Undocumented and Stressed By Kaitlin mulhere, over the years, surveys have found that undocumented students go through high level of stress, anxiety, and depression. In 2012 President Obama started the program Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Being an undocumented student myself, life has been pretty hard and DACA gave me a chance to “fit” in. Being under the DACA program and being a student, it makes you “ask a lot of questions……and they have to figure out who they can trust” saying this means that they really can’t trust everybody with their identity and have a lot of questions on what to do to focus on their future.
Being an Undocumented student myself has been actually hard because when DACA was starting my family didn’t have money to afford it and I got scared because the what ifs came in my head and I didn’t know what to do; is actually pretty weird sharing my status, you can never see anything coming from someone until they tell you. “90 percent of DACA recipients worried about the deportation or detention of friends and family”, on a serious note this is actually true because I fear that one day me and my brother and mom will get deported and leave my two younger brothers here. When I started college I had my whole life planned and then I found out that to be a firefighter you have to be a U.S. Citizen and my dreams went downhill, my older brother is also undocumented he is actually doing Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M and It freaks me out because he’s going to be a senior next year and what if something bad happens and his plans are ruined just like mine. I’m actually not going to give up but I need space and raise money to afford the rest of my semesters since my financial aid isn’t going very well.
“Colleges could also create support groups or centers specifically for undocumented students, so they have a place to go to share concerns and seek resources”, this would actually be so happy instead of always having so many questions and searching online. One of the majors stressors for undocumented students is “what will happen when DACA ends” and “It is not just stressful but also depressing for any human not being able or motivated to think, dream and plan a future,” most undocumented students don’t know what to do with their future will be or what to do since they are afraid on what will happen.
This information should actually motivate undocumented people and help them find their future and see their purpose in this country and be proud of it; and to inform people on what undocumented people are going through and try to see them selves on other peoples shoes.

Why do people believe in conspiracy theories? I personally believe in conspiracy theories; not because it changes the way the event actually happened, but because it puts people in the set of mind of the “what if”.
On June 6, 2018, David Ludden posted an article called, “Why Do People Believe In Conspiracy Theories?”, this article talks about how people like conspiracy theories and why. I chose this article to find out why we believe in conspiracy theories because I personally believe in them. In the article it talked about “the desire for understanding and certainty”, I found this part interesting because what it says is true.
Ludden asks a question and makes us wonder “why is that?”; he really goes into detail on why people might believe in the C.T. , the researchers have found that reasons for believing is because od desire; “the desire of understanding and certainty” “the desire for control and security” “the desire to maintain a positive self-image”.
By looking at this article we can determine that this is an informative article. The article is letting us know why people believe in conspiracy theories and why they have a reason to believe in them and plus Ludden is not telling us directly to believe in them.

Problems with the airplanes.

Epi Syamsul and his wife, Yenny, awaited news of their son Mohammad Rafi Andrian on Wednesday       https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/31/world/asia/lion-air-flight-610-black-boxes-indonesia.html
Hanna beech, from The New York Times, wrote an article about the incident that happened in Indonesia. “One of the deadliest commercial air disasters in years” as the officials recalled, “The plane has experienced an unspecified technical issue the night before”, as they knew that the plane had problems they didn’t do anything to actually fix it. When the plane went down in the waters of Java Sea, strong currents hampered the search; so it made it very difficult to actually look for the plane.
The brand-new airplane had 189 people on board and right after takeoff, the crew had requested permission to return to the airport but it crashed. On a previous takeoff “the plane had experienced problems with unreliable airspeed reading”, meaning that it had to do something with the air tubes. According to the article, the air tubes can go wrong if something is blocking the tubes, in hot-equatorial climates, the wasps go inside the tubes and make mud nests. Having a nest in the tube, it blocks the air from passing through. Before the airplane leaves there has to be a procedure that they have to follow to make sure everything goes right. Pilots says, “basic skills like flying a plane without the aid of technology has become a less common art”, making it hard to actually function. This really hasn’t been the first time an accident like this has happened.        The fact that the plane crashed and they haven’t recovered anything is really surprising because we have this modern technology and is really that smart on it, but it is understandable that the currents made the search very difficult. Right after it took off it killed all 189 on in pact. I personally have never been on an airplane but I have heard a lot of stories that have happened. A story, attack, that has happened and it was very devastating was the 9/11 attack on the twin towers; This was a terrorist attack and it was a very tragic thing that happened. Another horrible plane accident was in 2012 when Jenni Rivera was killed in a plane crashed, Jenni was one of my mom’s favorite singers and it devastated her, imagine how all the family members of all the 189 people on the plane must be feeling right now.        When they find the plane I hope they can close the case and all the people may rest in peace and next time they should actually see what they are doing wrong before the leave the airport.
